Hello all – this is the all new Rob F. website. It’s basically a blog site but I feel this is a better way to update everyone on what I’m working on. The old website was pretty stale and it was a pain to update. I’ll be posting videos, pics and other assorted goodies as the year rolls by. So I’ll start off by letting everyone know last year really kicked my ass. Unemployment and lack of gigs really put a dent in my general good mood. However, I am looking to bounce back in 2012. I started off the year right with a NYE gig in San Francisco at the legendary Purple Onion. Then I followed that with 2 consecutive weeks featuring for Tom Rhodes in SF and LA. In April, I will be in San Diego at the brand new American Comedy Co. Club. So the gigs are picking up, which is a very good thing.
I am also working on great podcasts this year as well. If you haven’t checked out the podcast I co-host with Brent Weinbach (www.legacymusichour.com), please do yourself a favor and click on the link on the right. It is a fascinating look into the world or 8-bit & 16-bit video game music. We recently got distribution through Nerdist industries so we are looking to expand our fanbase. In addition, we just had a fantastic live event in SF as part of SF Sketchfest. Brent and I are looking forward to more great music this year as well as another live event or two in So Cal.
The 2nd podcast I am working on is the Tom Rhodes podcast. Tom Rhodes is one of my all time favorite comedians and I have edited several episodes of his podcast where he interviews comedians and interesting people that he meets in his travels. Tom’s interviews are stellar and he weaves the interviews with clips of comedy, music and movies. Find the podcast on iTunes!
